“The whole point of woman-centered birth is the knowledge that a woman is the birth power source. She may need, and deserve, help, but in essence, she always had, currently has, and will have the power.”

Pregnancy Yoga

and relaxation to indulge the senses.

Drawing on a decade of teaching experience, my pregnancy yoga classes have been designed to provide a nourishing and supportive environment to guide you safely through your pregnancy. My classes have been created to indulge and evoke the senses with the addition of doTerra aromatherapy and carefully curated music playlists which I can offer to you for your own birth.

Each class includes specific yoga postures to prepare the body for birth, breathing techniques for pregnancy and labour and deep relaxation exercises to calm the body, mind and emotions. A time to strengthen the bond between you and your baby.

Classes are a mix of women at different stages of pregnancy and with varied experience of yoga.

All poses are clearly demonstrated and designed to help you feel your best as your baby grows. We also practice useful poses for labour and birth so that they become familiar, comfortable and easy to use instinctively in labour.

Breath awareness is an important element of each class and we focus on variations of the breath and traditional pranayama to calm the busy mind. This equips mothers with a powerful tool to stay grounded and focused during labour. We learn how to employ the breath to release fear, tension and difficult thoughts.

Each pregnancy yoga class ends with a deep relaxation and a quiet moment to feel at peace with your growing baby, a cocoon of love and calm in our busy lives. You will have the opportunity to experience a taster of the amazing benefits of hypnobirthing as I read a different positive birthing script each week during this time.

Class is suitable from 12 weeks pregnant right up until baby arrives depending on each individual.

There is no need to have any yoga experience to join the class and necessary adaptations can be made.

Yoga mats, lavender eye masks and pillows are provided however I do encourage you to bring your own mat, if possible.

My classes are upbeat, nurturing and friendly. A fantastic opportunity to meet other ‘mums to be’ and start building your community.

I look forward to welcoming you to MamaHugz Pregnancy yoga. I embrace you with an open heart and open arms .
